The Robert Ruark Field Bar was inspired by the adventurer himself. Robert’s adventurous spirit and love for African safaris and not forgetting his fondness of a gin-and-tonic was more than enough reason to develop this stylish field bar, making it the perfect way to end a day out in the bush.
Constructed from marine plywood and covered with full-grain diesel pull-up leather in a rich cognac colour, this bar is designed to be taken into the field for serving drinks or sundowners. The carry handles are lathed from solid kiaat timber and polished with beeswax, while the leather handle straps are made from 3.5mm full-grain leather in dark brown. Exceptional shear strength is achieved by stitching all corners through the box, and all hand stitching is done with Sera-braid waxed thread. The inner walls of the casing, when opened out, are made of solid kiaat timber, complemented by solid brass hinges and details.
The field bar contains six genuine leather Ruark handmade coasters, a cutting board, and four crystal glasses, making it a fine addition to any safari adventure.
